Federal oversight to ensure full implementation of the 2009 Westchester County affordable housing consent decree is of paramount importance to ensuring that everything is done to battle against rampant housing segregation in the county; however, it appears that Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, in the personage of Stephen C. Robinson, does not see it that way. As the US District Court’s appointed federal monitor of this historic housing settlement, Mr. Robinson appears to have neglected this vital role for the three years since he has been appointed.
